Metaldyne's manufacturing footprint is rapidly expanding through the Asia Pacific region to better serve its growing global customer base. Metaldyne's operation in Pyeongtaek, Korea currently supplies balance shaft modules for a major Korean automaker. With increasing local and export market demand, plans are underway to expand manufacturing capabilities with new isolation pulley and balance shaft module lines for multiple customers.

To support explosive growth in China, Metaldyne celebrated the grand opening of its Suzhou facility in 2007, producing powertrain and chassis products. There is also a sales and engineering office in Tokyo, Japan, and a new Japanese tech center is planned which will further support strategic growth in Asia.
