Vice President and General Manager, European Components
Executive in Charge of Europe
In his position as vice president and general manager of European Components, Denis Bardou oversees manufacturing operations, investments, finance and human resources at five Metaldyne plants in Europe. He also plays an integral role in the technical and commercial activities linked to new developments within Chassis’ market.
Mr. Bardou is also the executive in charge of Europe. In this role, he represents the company regionally in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, media, government and professional agencies and is also responsible for the research and evaluation of commercial, buisness and regulatory trends in the region to assist the company's growth strategies.
Prior to joining Metaldyne as vice president of Chassis Europe in 1997, Mr. Bardou served as chief operating officer and managing director for Societe Gevelot Extrusion, a product manufacturer in France. Here he was responsible for overseeing production in four plants in France and one plant in Germany.
Within his 20 years at Societe Gevelot Extrusion, he held the titles of both plant manager and engineer and vice president of production.
Mr. Bardou holds a degree in engineering from French High School Arts et Metiers. He is also fluent in French, English and German.
He works out of Metaldyne's location in Zell, Germany.
